Vital Sign Variability in Dental Patients Response to Stress during Dental Treatment

Abstract
This study was performed in Cho Sun University Dental Hospital with twenty healthy men and twenty healthy women who felt moderate anxiety by Corah¢¥s Anxiety scale. We divided four dental procedures included control group.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dental procedures on the
vital signs versus anxiety of healthy adult. patients.
There were no significant changes between control group and procedures except tooth extration.group, so the results were as followings.
¥° . Women felt more stress than men while dental procedures.
¥± . No sex differences were detected on the vital signs because of stress.
¥². No significant variations on vital signs were appeared but vital signs were signifi-cantly incresed when tooth had been extracted uner the local anesthetica.
